1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using ECC Tools ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
ECC Tools is a GitHub App that analyzes repository git history to generate SKILL.md files and instincts for Claude Code. The Service requires:
- A GitHub account with repository access
- Installation of the ECC Tools GitHub App
- Explicit triggering via issue comments
3. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Only analyze repositories you have permission to access
- Not use the Service for malicious purposes
- Not attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls
- Review generated content before merging into your repositories
- Comply with GitHub's Terms of Service
4. Intellectual Property
- Your Code: You retain all ownership of your source code and repository content
- Generated Skills: SKILL.md files and instincts generated for your repositories are yours to use, modify, and distribute
- Our Service: The ECC Tools software, analysis algorithms, and service infrastructure remain our property
5. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:
- Maintenance and updates
- Technical issues or outages
- Third-party service disruptions (GitHub, Anthropic)
6. Rate Limits and Fair Use
Free and paid tiers have different usage limits. Exceeding limits may result in temporary service restrictions. Automated abuse or excessive usage may result in account suspension.
7. Payment Terms (Paid Plans)
- Subscriptions are billed monthly
- Payments are processed through Stripe
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis
- You may cancel at any time; access continues until the billing period ends
8. Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We are not liable for:
- Accuracy or completeness of generated content
- Damages resulting from use of generated skills
- Loss of data or service interruptions
- Third-party service failures
9. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the GitHub App. We may terminate access for violations of these terms or abuse of the Service.
